A Note from Iris: Dear Friends, They tell me it is my turn to write the greeting, so I am gladly doing so, even though many of you are aware that none of us are nobel prize winning writers. As this is the April newsletter, it is a good time to remember Christ’s glorious power of resurrection - so important for our salvation.

We do want to say, "Thank you" for all of your cards, letters, gifts and support in prayer - and, even though we often cannot write back, we want you to know that your support and communications are appreciated!

As we have had many requests for a reprint of the 1-2-3 Okie Stew recipe, I am going to put it in. It sure is handy when folks stop by here at the ranch. 1-2 lbs. of browned, drained hamburger; 1 can diced rotel tomatoes with green chilies; 2 large cans of ranch style beans and 3 large cans of minestrone soup. Mix & heat.

I am going to give a 3-point dessert to go with the 3-point soup (as a lot of speakers are 3-point speakers!) 2 cans cherry pie filling in an 8 x 11 inch pan. Top with 1 box white cake mix (dry); drizzle with 1/2 cup melted butter or oleo. Bake at 350 degrees until done.

Finally, as a lot of folks ask about our cows, I will tell you this. Les has many of them quite tame, and he pets them - including the big bulls (he says they are just like big teddy bears); but I have to have a fence between them and me! Some are kept in with a very small electric wire and if they ever get shocked, even once, they never try it again. It is so funny how God made animals - all with their own peculiarities and all smarter than people think! With love and appreciation, Iris.

Bookkeeper’s / Secretary's note: As always, we appreciate your financial support SO much. We thank the Lord daily for the role that all of you play in this ministry and know that, without your help and the Lord’s blessing, our ministry would not exist. As partners in the ministry, I thought you would be interested in knowing that we came into the new year in the black, and even had a small "cushion" in the bank account. As you all know, we spend 100% of your donated dollar on TV and radio time, so we now have the responsibility of being wise stewards of the Lord’s money and deciding where to best spend it to bring Glory to our Father.

We know from past experience that radio time is basically a mission work, with very little monetary return - but looking at various markets, as well as looking at open doors and closed doors, we decided on these changes and additions to our TV/radio log- -We hope that you as supporters will be as excited about them as we are. 1) We changed our INSP time to Mondays at 12 noon Eastern time (which means we will air at 11am Central, 10am Mountain, and 9am Pacific time). This allows us to be broadcast on this station to the entire U.S. during wake time (previously, we were on at 8am Eastern). 2) We picked up a 50,000 watt AM radio station out of Nashville that airs at 3pm local time Monday-Friday, but is also broadcasted via short wave to all of Europe, as well as much of the Middle East and North Africa at 7pm - which, of course, is a great time slot. 3) We were asked to be on two stations that air out of East Africa (a large majority understand English) - and we felt that this may be a great mission; but we did keep the contract time short in case economic problems arise.

We ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as we make these kinds of decisions (as the money is God’s, not ours!) Our prayer is that we can teach as many as possible about our Lord’s amazing grace and free gift of salvation before it is too late.

Lastly, be sure to call for a year-end report if you need one for tax purposes; and also remember an order form is not mandatory when ordering (a note is fine). Finally, we live about 40 miles from our bank, so your checks are deposited once a week - this means your check may not clear your bank for 3-4 weeks after you write it. We do apologize for this inconvenience.

What In The World

In all of the articles and books that I have read recently on prophecy, I have not seen one that deals with the huge human likeness in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, described in Daniel 2. Nothing in scripture is a simpler key to unlocking the end-time scenario than Daniel 2. It is such a precise foretelling of the historical unfolding of the Gentile empires - that the scoffers used that very point to try to disprove Daniel’s authorship; and they even go so far as to say it must have been a forgery of a much later writer. But, the Lord Himself put authenticity on Daniel’s role as a prophet in Matthew 24:15.

The prophetic dream was the appearance of the first great Gentile empire, Babylon, the head of Gold. The empire was swallowed up by the next great Gentile empire, the Medes and Persians, depicted by the chest of Silver. As we work through the intervening chapters, by chapter 7, the Greek empire envelops all of the previous empires and this is represented by the belly of Brass. The Greek empire, in turn, was defeated by the Roman empire, which covered the then-known world from Great Britain to India - but was divided between the East and the West, thus fulfilling the 2 legs of Iron. That empire disintegrated from within and ceased to exist by 400 AD. But we still have to consider the 10 toes. So, for 1,000 years, from 606 BC to 400 AD, Daniel’s prophecies were fulfilled to the last jot and tittle. But, latent and subliminal, were also the details leading up to the man of sin, the 70th week of Daniel, and the return of Christ.

In that vein, the 10 toes of the image spoke of an empire that would arise in the end-time, composed of 10 nations - out of which the Anti-christ (the counterfeit Messiah) would come (see Daniel 9:26). These 10 nations came together shortly after WWII in what was called the Club of Rome. Their dream was a United States of Europe. It has been a slow process because Europe has been fragmented by ethnic, political and economic differences for centuries. But now, after nearly 50 years, the European Union (the EU) is a growing empire comprised now of almost 20 nations. But, the vision speaks of 10. As the EU is coming closer and closer to a viable cohesive government we, as students of The Word, can take comfort in a statement made by a high official in the EU to the Financial Times of London. Basically what he said was that all final decisions of the EU will rest with 10 nations, much like the veto power of the Security Council in the U.N.

In conclusion, I can repeat what I have said many times before - watch western Europe. Their euro-dollar has now gone past the American dollar $1.09 to $1.00 - they are planning a 60,000 man quick-strike force backed up by 3 or 4 times that number, and many of their posters promoting the EU have an ancient Babylon connection. And, most important of all, they are totally secular with no hint of Biblical Christianity. That is why they are reluctant to embrace our Christian president. Won’t they be surprised if someday George W. and others of his family and administration are suddenly gone like the rest of us??

Happy 50th Anniversary to Les and Iris!!! This June 21st, Les and Iris will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Please don’t send any gifts...however, I am sure any cards would certainly be appreciated. After all, 50th's don't come around but once a lifetime! Thanks, Laura

The newsletters that are sent to reader's by regular mail always contain the upcoming seminar schedule, the TV and radio schedule, the class schedule, and the ministry's contact information. But on this web site, all of this information is kept current on their own pages at these four links. To avoid confusion, the older information that is less up to date has been removed from the newsletters that are placed on-line.
