Note from Les

Dear friends,

This past three months has been mostly a drab and cold winter. Iris is practically 100% and I am doing okay but we have stayed close to home because of the inclement weather. With the coming of spring, the Oklahoma Bible study classes are in full-swing. Please contact the ministry if you would like a schedule. As of now we are not planning on any long-distance travel.

Again, we want to thank you, thank you, for your continued prayers and financial support. We read every letter and we never forget your prayer requests. Our hearts go out to those of you who have lost a loved one but God has promised us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13–17, that we will see them again. What a blessed hope! Titus 2:13

What in the World?

From creation until the second coming, the Middle East is a vortex of everything. Consequently, as we near the end time, the Middle East is in a boiling caldron. Psalms 83 was written by David's chief musician and was a lament over Israel's enemies, which was the Arab world plus their Confederates – the Muslim world being their Confederates today. Most Arabs are Muslims but not all Muslims are Arabs. Indonesia, the largest single nation of Muslims, is not Arab. It is the same way with Pakistan, Afghanistan and basically all of the "Stan" nations. Iran, Syria, Albania and all of North Africa are Muslim also and evidently all of these will come under the leadership of Russia as found in Ezekiel 38. However, Ezekiel 35:1-9 guarantees their destruction. Russia will forget about the Ukraine and will turn instead to the destruction of Israel but they will not succeed because God has promised that Israel will never cease being a nation. They have to be there for the second coming and the kingdom. Psalms 89:20–37. 20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: 21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. 22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. 23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him. 24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted. 25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. 26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. 27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. 28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. 29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. 30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; 31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; 32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. 33 Nevertheless my loving kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. 34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. 35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. 36 His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me. 37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

What is Gahenna?

In Matthew 10:28 & Mark 9:47-48, the Lord Jesus himself brings up this terrible place and even compares it to hell. This horrific place first shows up in the Old Testament and and in Hebrew means "the Valley of Hinnom". Sadly, many of the ancient Israelites sacrificed their children to the God called Molech there and by Jeremiah's day, it was called the valley of slaughter. By the time of the Lord Jesus used it as something to compare hell to, it was a place of refuse- a place where dead bodies, dead animals, and trash were taken to burn. It was a place of worms and stench and burned continually.

A word of warning: In Ezekiel 13, we find the Word of God warning against divination. And yet, we are seeing it more and more. It is evil, and yet we have Ouija boards, video games, and other "children's games" that often lead to dangerous Satanic practices such as channeling. The practice of far eastern mediation is also dangerous and yet it is creeping into our mainstream denominational churches.

Excellent Internet study helps: Bible Gateway, E Sword, Blue Letter Bible. It also is helpful to simply use a search engine and type in whatever passage you are wanting to know about. Example: "commentary on Daniel 8".

Have you ever wondered why Satan continues with his plan when God's Word says he will be beaten. Satan knows scripture and Hosea 5:15 says "I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face:”, This verse tells us that God is going to wait in Heaven until his people, (Israel) acknowledges their offense and Satan knows if he can somehow stop that from happening, he will win. He knows that God cannot lie and he knows that if he can stop the Nation of Israel by destroying it, God will stay in Heaven and this world will be his. Satan was/is the first and greatest narcissist ever!

Food for thought regarding Replacement Theology: ...those teaching it are calling God a liar. God is most definitely not finished with the Nation of Israel (see Romans 11). Replacement theology had a lot to do in bringing about the Holocaust when one out of three Jews died and it's going to cause a greater Holocaust (during the tribulation), when two out of three Jews are going to die.(God will preserve one third supernaturally).

Laura's note

The apostle Peter warns us that there will be a lot of false teaching in the last days and that we are to be on guard against such things. There is a teaching that has emerged just in the last 2 1/2 years based on a report by one atheist scientist named Dr. Eran Elhaik. He tries to say that the vast majority of the Jews of the world are not really Jews at all. This false teaching suggests that only the Sephardic Jews are "real Jews" and the Ashkenazi Jews are not. (These are the two major groups with a few subsets) The Sephardic Jews originated in the Middle East and then ended up in Spain and Portugal and then most seemingly migrated to North Africa after ousted from Spain in 1492. The Ashkenazi Jews are comprised mostly of the lighter skinned Jews that either live in, or descended from, eastern Europe, (Germany Poland Ukraine etc.) or western Russia.

In researching, (about 15 different articles) most of the DNA studies/data referred back to the dispersal of the Jews during the time of the Roman Empire. A couple of them mentioned the Babylonians taking Judah captive in 597, 587, and 582BC but not one "scientific study" took into account all those Jews taken captive by the Assyrians in 740-722 BC. According to ancient Assyrian records, the Assyrians took 200,150 captives. It is interesting to note that God said those taken by the Babylonians would be allowed to return while never giving the same promise to those taken by the Assyrians. The ancient Assyrian empire extended almost as far north as the Black Sea and it is easy to see that people could have migrated to the west/north or gone east of the Black Sea and gone north into Western Russia as the Assyrian Empire fell. It is absolutely amazing that not one study brought the Assyrian captivity in as a factor. Considering that the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities took a large portion of the Jewish population north, the scientific studies did not seem very scientific to me. However, the studies did all agree that the Ashkenazi population had a "more homogeneous genetic background compared to the general population,", meaning they do not have the ethnic diversity (in their DNA mapping) that other people have – because for 4000 years a majority have followed God's command not to intermarry with Gentiles.

The bottom line is that only one study concluded that Ashkenazic Jews did not originate in the Middle East but rather originated in the Caucus and thus concluded they were not Jewish. The false claim is that this large group of people just happened to embrace Judaism in the 700s to circumvent accepting Islam or Christianity. Many feel that these claims are an attempt to disapprove the Ashkenazi ancestral claims to the land. Whatever the reason, it is another false teaching of the end times. It also goes to show that the scientists do not know their biblical history or certainly they would have taken into account the Assyrian captivity. Above all, there are several verses in God's word telling us he will bring back His people from the north. Example: Jeremiah 16:15 But, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

Office Note

We hope and pray that by the time this newsletter reaches you that winter (along with the cold, snow, and ice) is long gone. Although we can’t say that we in Oklahoma have had the terrible conditions that many across the country, especially in the northeast, have experienced, the snow and ice we did get caused some hardships. Les asked me to let you all know that because of the location of the ministry, it doesn’t take much snow or ice to make these roads treacherous and prevent us from making it safely to the office. That is why things pretty much shut down when the weather is bad. We also close down the office on some holidays to catch up on mail and do some other things that constantly being on the phone sometimes prevents. Usually, things are back to normal by the next business day. We thank you for your patience with us. We would also like to make known that LFM does not participate in any social media. Our only online based services are done through www.lesfeldick.com or www.lesfeldick.org.
