NOTE FROM LES

Dear Friends,

As with most of the you, this month was highlighted with rain, rain, and more rain. Since grass is our major commodity, we never complain.

Again, I have to use this opportunity to thank all of you for the prayer support, the financial support, and the spiritual support. How it thrills us to hear over and over ''I have been in church all my life but I've learned more in the last three months than in all the rest of my life.'' And how we appreciate that everyone [except for one or two] is enjoying and still learning from the reruns. What is most evident is that God's Word is timeless-- most of what we said 20 years ago is still current today.

We often wonder whether many of you read our newsletters but the response to our changes of thinking in the last newsletter put that question to rest. Our phones rang ''off the wall'' and the response was overwhelming. Consequently, I'm addressing those issues more in-depth in this issue.

Our mail and phone calls ran 80 to 90% in agreement that in the crucifixion was either Wednesday or Thursday with most agreeing on Wednesday. Now, my take on the body of Christ and the second coming was something else. Tradition runs deep and strong. Even in the programs airing currently, which are reruns from 1993, I still was agreeing with the traditional thought. But, as I searched the Scriptures and mulled this all over and over, I changed my mind. And then someone sent me a proverb that eased my mind- "a wise man changes his mind; a fool never does.'' So why did I change? Two reasons. Number one, NO ONE but Paul makes any reference or illusion to the body of Christ, so Revelation knows nothing of the church which is the body. That means the armies of heaven in Revelation 19:14 cannot be a reference to the body of Christ believers -- after all; Angels are clothed in white linen. Secondly, if you mull over Paul's experience in II Corinthians 12:4, 7 we are left with the impression that the heaven which is prepared for us is beyond human language or description, so after seven years of such glorious surroundings, why would God bring us back to spend 1000 years in Israel's earthly kingdom? Now remember that I am flexible. If something doesn't affect our glorious plan of salvation or our daily walk as believers, we can have points of disagreement-- and on those things, we'll just have to wait until we ''get there''.

What in the World?

What in the world is going on in the Middle East? Well, get your Bible out and let the Scriptures answer the question without any comment from me.

Psalms 83:1-18 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. 2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. 4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: 6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; 7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah. 9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. 13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; 15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. 17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Ezekiel 35:1-15. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, 3 And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate. 4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. 5 Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: 6 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. 7 Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. 8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword. 9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 10 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there: 11 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. 12 And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume. 13 Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them. 14 Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate. 15 As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD. Remember these are all Arab/Muslim nations.

Now turn to Ezekiel 38:5-6 - Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Again this is speaking of the Arab world.

Their doom is consummated in Ezekiel 38:18-23 - And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; 20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. 21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. 22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD. This, I feel, will be in the latter part of the first year of the tribulation. All of which means the end is getting near-er!

As for Israel, Matthew 24:9 - Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Laura's Note

As always, my note is going to be regarding the rapture-- simply because I think about it all the time. From all of the phone calls here to the Ministry, I know that I am not the only one who believes we are getting very close and I have to think that anyone who knows prophecy at all and watches the news from around the world even a little, has to come to that same conclusion. I think we all agree that the last days of the last days started in 1948 when Israel once again became a nation in part of the land that God gave to her. Now that Israel has been back in the land for 63 years, I believe it would be a good conclusion to say that we as believers should be getting excited because surely our time on this earth must be growing short. We know that God's Word tells us that no man knows the day or the hour, but we also know that Jesus criticized Israel's religious leadership for knowing the signs of the weather but not knowing the signs of the time. I firmly believe that we are not to be caught unawares, but should be seeing the clues that our redemption draws near. For me, when I see everything that is happening all around-- whether it be the rise in violence, the escalation in homosexuality, the crazy weather and natural disasters, the aligning of the Muslim countries, the economy, the world food shortage, and on and on it goes -- I cannot help but get excited. I also have to be careful because my prayer life has almost been negatively affected simply because I am so full of desire for the rapture that I find myself seeing all these things happening in the world and then find myself praying repetitively for our Savior to come and rescue us. A few weeks ago I realized that I have been spending less and less quality time in prayer and more and more time in short request that goes something like this: ''please come before it gets too bad!''. I realized I needed to get back to praising Him for all the good things of this world and asking him to intervene in all the not so good things and above all, to pray for those who are going to be left here-- and that they will make a decision that will allow them to meet Jesus as their savior someday rather than their judge. The last thought I have is this: isn't it wonderful to know that no matter what comes, no matter how bad it might be, no matter how long we might be left on this old earth, our God is still in charge, he still is in control, he will be with us to comfort us, to strengthen us and to guide us. And whether we go by the rapture or by the grave, we as believers know that our eternity is real, is secure, and is waiting for us and it is going to be absolutely glorious!

Office Note

First, we would like to thank you all for keeping us busy. We fully realize that the many phone calls and stacks of mail we receive is what keeps Les Feldick Ministries going strong. As before we want to remind everyone to please designate on their checks what you would like for us to do with them. For example, write the invoice number on payments and "gift" or "donation" on contributions, and "order" or "send" along with the type of product and the number for orders. Also, on your letters to Les, please include your name and address on the letter as well as the envelope.

On a sad note, we want to inform everyone of the passing of Andy Reese who succumbed to brain cancer on May 7th. Although Andy lost the battle with cancer, he won the war when he left his earthly body behind to live forever in the presence of our Savior.

Please remember his wife, Melissa, a long time employee of Les Feldick Ministries, and their son, Denver, in your prayers. Andy was a Grace believer who eagerly shared his faith with friends and family. He was also a talented musician, and dedicated husband, father, brother, son and friend, and will be missed by so many.
