Through the Bible with Les Feldick
Newsletter

Apr - May - Jun 2004

A Note from Les: Dear Friends, Just another short note (sound familiar?) to respond to your gracious notes and letters. We often lay correspondence aside with intentions of responding, but then time just does not permit, so we hope this compensates a little bit.

We just returned from teaching in Branson, MO, where Dan and Ranae Peters hosted our all-day seminar at their beautiful Music City Centre. Many expressed that it was one of the best ever. Also, by popular demand, we are making plans for another tour to Israel in the Spring of 2005 (next Spring!). If you are interested, just get us your names and we will mail you a brochure as soon as we get them. As fast as end-time signs are becoming more evident, we may not be here, but we will plan for it anyway.

By our next newsletter (July 1st), we can give a quick report on meetings in Florida, Indiana, and Ohio. Keep those letters coming – we love them!

Bookkeeper’s / Secretary's note: The ministry is getting a new address due to 911, as many of you have also experienced. So, although we are not moving, our address has changed to: 30706 W. Lona Valley Rd. - rather than Rt. 1 Box 760. However, the old address can be used for about another year, so it will give us all time to get used to it.

Also, after about a year of work, we have finally sent off our first shipment of Question/Answer books to the distributor (Book World of Sarasota, Fl.) for placement in bookstores.

Thirdly, remember that a new book comes out every three months, with Book 58 coming out in April, Book 59 coming out in July, etc., for as long as our Lord tarries and/or Les keeps teaching. It looks like Book 60 should be in Isaiah, as that is where Les plans to go after finishing up the New Testament.

Fourthly, we finally have all the videos in DVD format, and are close to getting all the audios in CD format. We will have an updated list in the next newsletter, but for now, if you would prefer these formats, just give us a call. DVD's are $30 for six hours, and CD's are $24 for 6 hours. These prices include postage and handling.

And finally, pass the word that we are now on DIRECT TV daily (11 am Eastern Time) and that we are still on Sky Angel daily - not on the WHT station any longer, but on the Guardian station- #9707 at 8:30 am Eastern Time. God Bless, Laura

This is our new, much-needed 20 x 20 addition to the office. Also pictured is Janette, Les’s daughter-in-law (and newest addition to the staff), staying busy packaging and working with the CD’s and DVD’s.

What In The World

The headline in the Dec. 23, 2003 Columbus Dispatch read, "Russia deploys new set of nuclear missiles; more to come." In one of my programs in Daniel/Revelation produced back in 1994 (which will be airing again in April for those of you watching a daily show), I made the statement that "the Russian Bear is not dead." Even I did not realize how true that statement was.

In the Associated Press release under the above headline, we were told that Russia, under the leadership of president Vladimir Putin, is preparing a massive military/nuclear maneuver unlike anything since 1982. They are unveiling a whole new system of ICBM’s, described by one Russian as "21st century weapons unrivaled by anything else in the world."

It will involve land-based missiles, one from a nuclear submarine in the Barents Sea, and others from their TU-160 strategic bombers. America, of course, is the imaginary target. They claim it is necessary as a deterrent. But America has never fought a war to gain real estate. As Colin Powell, our Secretary of State, said when confronted by the Europeans about our intentions in Iraq, "We have fought two World Wars on this continent and never once asked for any more real estate than what it took to bury our dead." So what is prompting Russia to practice destroying America? Ezekiel 38 and 39!

We know that Ezekiel 38:14 refers to an invasion of Israel by a people from the North parts and Moscow is due North of Jerusalem. But Russia will not be alone. Verses 4 and 6 give a description of the Moslem world that will be allied with her. But, as I have taught for over 20 years, this great invasion of Israel will take place within the first year of the Anti-christ's 7-year peace treaty. Israel will be resting under a false security, but still relying on America's help, just in case. Russia, knowing this, will have to obliterate America just before invading. However, America will still be able to retaliate with nuclear-armed aircraft and countless numbers of nuclear submarines. This will fulfill Ezekiel 39:6 which says, "I will send a fire on Magog (Russia) and among them that dwell carelessly (unbelievers/muslims?). Remember, Rev. 6:8 tells us that 1/4 of the world's population will be gone by the end of the first half of the seven-year tribulation.

As we look at the world in its downward moral spiral, we cannot help but wonder why such horrible judgment is coming - but we who are blood-bought believers do not have to worry about this great coming calamity. Paul teaches that before the Anti-christ appears, we'll be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. But for those left behind, I Thess. says it all. "Sudden destruction cometh upon them." Indeed, it is at the door.

Les's comments on the movie "The Passion."

No doubt Mel Gibson did a terrific job of producing a movie. But he could only reproduce a small, infinitesimal amount of Christ's suffering, because stage and screen can never go beyond the physical. Our Lord suffered the punishment for every human being, from Adam until the end-time. That is in the realm of the spiritual. II Cor. 5:21 says, "He who knew no sin (God Himself) became sin for us!" That is the primary reason our Gospel is the only means of salvation. No other belief system or religion can proclaim that the very Creator of the universe and everything in it, was the very One Who paid mankind's sin debt. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Unfortunately, I do not think that Faith was ever mentioned in the movie.

But there is one thing for certain. No one can ever use the movie as a reason to promote anti-Semitism. The Jews at least had a reason for their behavior. In unbelief and ignorance, they really thought that Jesus was an imposter and a blasphemer against their religion. On the other hand, the despicable Romans demonically, and with human inclination to torture and beat an innocent victim, showed their evil propensity to torture. The human race has endured such since time began, with Saddam Hussein being a good example.

If only Mel Gibson had extended the movie 10 more minutes and showed the events of John 20: 1-19 - dawn breaking and Mary Magdalene finding the tomb empty - then running to tell Peter and John. Then all three going back to the tomb to find it empty. And the final scene could have been Mary Magdalene recognizing Jesus, not by His now normal appearance, but by His voice! Then, as a final frame, (as Isaiah 53:5 was in the very first frame of the movie), Gibson could have put I Cor. 15:1-4, "Moreover brethren, I declare unto you the gospel by which also ye are saved...How that Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again... according to the scriptures." What an ending that would have been!
