Dear Friends – ‘Thank you’ does not adequately express our feelings of gratitude for the love, support, prayers, and encouragement we have received since Les and Iris have passed into the eternal presence of our Lord and Savior. Many of you have fervidly shared with us the positive impact TTB has made on your lives. As Les always emphasized, all Glory and praise belongs to none but God. It is He we serve and His plan we strive to understand and obey. We are most confident that if it is His Will, “Through the Bible” will air and Les Feldick Ministries will carry on well into the future. Our heart-felt prayers continue for those of you who reach out in times of struggle, and we celebrate in gratitude with those who have experienced triumph for the cause of Christ. Grace and peace to you all!
“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)” 2 Cor 9:10
We have had many questions regarding the future of the ministry since Les & Iris have gone home. Here are a few of the most asked questions we have received.
Q: Will the ministry continue?
Yes! Les always maintained that the ministry should carry on in his absence, so we will continue as long as the Lord allows.
Q: Who will take over for Les? Will someone else be teaching?
No, there is no need for anyone to “take over”. Les completed his teachings of the Bible and they are all available. Since the scripture never changes, nothing new will need to be recorded.
Q: Who is running the ministry?
The office staff processes all the orders and donations, answers the phone calls and ensures that the programs are airing and takes care of any other day-to-day operations. Most of the staff has been with the ministry for many years and Les trusted “his girls” fully.
Q: How are my donations being used?
Any donations that are received by the ministry go towards the purchase of airtime and furthering the Gospel on television and other media platforms.
Q: Will the program continue to air?
Yes, as long as we are financially able, the program will continue. We are always interested in expanding into new areas or finding better time spots on television as they become available.
Q: How is the ministry doing financially?
The faithfulness and generosity of our viewers has allowed the ministry to not only maintain current programming, but to add more stations and alternate forms of programming such as Roku and other streaming services, further spreading the Gospel of Grace.
Q: Will you still have materials? Will you still send out the newsletter?
Yes, we will continue to have materials. We produce all the materials in our office and none of that will be changing. The newsletter will be sent every quarter just as it always has. The length of the newsletter may depend on the availability of paper, but we will continue to send it as long as it is well received.
Q: Are there any Les Feldick Bible Studies in my area?
Les had mentioned local Bible Studies in various states. These classes, although never taught by Les himself, often use his materials. Due to Covid, many of the Bible study classes were canceled. If you are currently having, would like to start, or are looking to join a Bible Study that uses Les Feldick Ministries materials, please contact our office for more information.
A note from the office to address questions received ...
Can We Be Perfect?
Matthew 5:48 "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Many popular preachers hold up this verse as the standard by which to identify a “true” Christian. The verse begs the question, why would Christ give such an unattainable command to His followers? For grace age believers, the Apostle Paul likewise has harsh words for sinners in I Corinthians 6:9 -10 and lets us know in Romans 6:15 that grace is no excuse for the believer to give in to sin. So then is a Christian who stumbles without hope? We all know of brothers or sisters who, sometimes seemingly at the height of their walk, stumble terribly. Not only doing harm to themselves and their loved ones, but the Body of Christ as a whole because the world looks to them as representatives of the faith. On the other hand, there are those who think they have reached a place where they no longer sin (cue same popular preachers). They are in the most dangerous position of all according to I John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Paul himself, even after encountering the resurrected Lord, faced the dilemma of being strong of faith yet struggling with a sinful nature in Romans 7:15-17 "For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me." If Paul is telling us that his sinful nature caused him not to do the things he should and to do the things he shouldn't (even what he hated), why do we think it should be different for us? It seems hopeless...But God! Two of the most beautiful words in scripture – Romans 5:8-11 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement." Even more hope in II Corinthians 5:18-20 "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." Praise God for this mercy and grace! Although we sin, we are no longer identified as sinners, but as children of God whose sins are covered by the PERFECT blood of Christ Jesus.
Perhaps you are one of the many people who contact Les Feldick Ministries because you struggle with sin. Either past sins that still cause suffering, or current cycles of sin from which you can’t seem to break free. Don’t be discouraged or led to doubt by those who tout “perfection” as the standard for the believer. Our hope is that through prayer and study of God’s Word, you will be able to shift your focus from that sin to the redeeming finished work of the cross. Colossians 1:20 "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."
While there is not an easy answer to the quandary of sin in the life of the believer, it seems clear that our Lord expects us to set the mark for ourselves extremely high. To do so, we must rely upon the Holy Spirit to guide and direct every aspect of our lives. When we fall short (which we will inevitably do) we will be in the company of the likes of Moses, David, Peter and Paul, and like them will still deal with the consequences of sin in this Earthly life. Those times we are successful in turning from sin, we are truly becoming the ambassadors we are called to be, pointing others to the glory of the risen Savior and reconciliation with God.
