Iris Kathaleen (Gray) Feldick was born to Jack and Elmer Gray on January 1st, 1932, in Poteau, OK. Her dad died when she was 10 years old resulting in a financial stress for her mom, two sisters, and brother. As a young teenager, she went to work making milkshakes at Poteau's downtown drugstore.
Iris attended nursing school in Hot Springs, AR, graduating in 1953 as a Registered Nurse. She served and cared for others in this capacity for nearly 44 years.
Iris married Les Feldick soon after her graduation and his discharge from the Army in 1953. They moved to Buffalo Center, IA, where her prayers, encouragement, and financial support helped her husband while he farmed and taught home Bible studies. Three children were born to Les and Iris whom she mothered wonderfully by teaching, correcting, praying, and providing for.
The family moved to Kinta, OK, in 1975, where Iris continued partnering with Les in helping him spread God's Word by aiding him in providing the financial needs of the family and with her strong faith, love, time, and support.
Iris retired from nursing about the same time "Through the Bible with Les Feldick" became nationally and internationally televised. Extensive traveling, planning, preparing, and communicating placed extraordinary demands upon Iris. She accomplished it all wonderfully to the Glory of God. Les was grateful to the Lord for Iris and said many times, "I would not have, nor could not have, done any of this without her."
Iris is survived by Greg (Janette) and Todd (Kim), 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Iris is preceded in death by Les, her husband of nearly 70 years, and Laura (Jerry) their daughter.
Iris was also preceded in death by her mother and father, two sisters, Cheryl and Billie Jean, and her brother Jack.
